Poggio Antico Brunello di Montalcino comes from elevated vineyards on the southern slopes of Montalcino and is made entirely from Sangiovese. Long ageing in large Slavonian oak casks adds depth and savoury complexity while preserving the wine’s natural energy. The bouquet opens with cherries, raspberries and dried flowers, followed by hints of espresso, leather, earth and spice. On the palate it is powerful yet refined, with finely woven tannins, bright acidity and a core of succulent red fruit. The long, focused finish makes it a superb partner for rich meat dishes, game and aged cheeses and gives it the capacity to evolve gracefully over many years.

Long ageing in large Slavonian oak casks highlights the mineral Sangiovese character and finely integrates the red fruit.
