Mormoreto from Castello Nipozzano is a Tuscan red with clear Bordeaux influence, sourced from a historic single vineyard east of Florence. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot are grown and harvested separately before being blended after ageing in French oak barriques. The bouquet reveals dark berries, black cherry and cassis alongside floral notes, spice, cedar and a touch of cocoa. On the palate Mormoreto is full-bodied and dense yet finely structured, with ripe tannins and fresh acidity. A long, powerful finish with subtle balsamic nuances makes it an excellent partner for braised beef, lamb, game and mature hard cheeses.
