Chateau de Chamirey Mercurey 2020 0,375l

This Mercurey brings together Pinot Noir from ten small plots across the Côte Chalonnaise. Clay-rich limestone soils and varied exposures give the wine a layered Burgundian identity. Ripe cherry, blackcurrant and delicate spice rise from the glass. The palate balances generous fruit with precise definition, silky tannins and a fresh, mouth-watering finish. Gentle vinification with native yeasts and ageing in barrel and stainless steel preserve both purity and place. It is an elegant match for roast poultry, veal, mushrooms or savoury vegetable dishes. Approachable yet characterful, it suits a refined dinner without demanding ceremony. Order this expressive red Burgundy online at Vinofant.

The grape variety: Chardonnay

Chardonnay is a globally renowned white grape from Burgundy, capable of crisp, mineral, creamy or oak-aged styles. Its flavours range from citrus and apple to peach, butter, nuts and toast.

It pairs with seafood, chicken, creamy pasta, mushrooms, lobster and soft cheeses. Chardonnay is exciting because it can be beautifully simple or profoundly complex. Chardonnay
