Château Malartic Lagravière Pessac Léognan blanc gcc. 2014 0,75l
Château Malartic-Lagravière is one of the few estates classified Grand Cru Classé de Graves and lies in the southern part of Pessac-Léognan on deep gravel and limestone soils. A dedicated portion of the vineyard is planted with white grapes, mainly Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon with a little Sauvignon Gris. Parcels are harvested by hand and vinified partly in stainless steel, partly in barrel, followed by extended ageing on fine lees. The bouquet of Malartic-Lagravière Blanc combines citrus, white flowers and ripe stone fruit with exotic hints and discreet oak. On the palate it is juicy and creamy yet very precise, with lively acidity, a touch of salinity and a long, refreshing finish.
Twelve months ageing on the fine lees with bâtonnage in French oak barrels give this white wine structure and fine oak spice.
