Château Suduiraut Sauternes 1cc. 2010 0,75l

Château Suduiraut in Sauternes has been classified Premier Cru Classé since 1855 and ranks among the leading names in sweet Bordeaux. On warm, gravelly soils around the château grow mostly sémillon and sauvignon blanc, grapes that develop noble rot and great concentration. The wine shows aromas of acacia honey, apricot, candied orange, dried fruits and roasted notes from barrel ageing. On the palate it is opulent, creamy and layered, yet lifted by vibrant acidity that keeps it precise. The long, silky sweetness feels luxurious rather than heavy. A classic match for foie gras, blue cheese, fruit desserts or simply enjoyed on its own at the end of a meal.

20 months of ageing gives this Sauternes additional depth and carries the opulent sweetness with fine maturity.

Château Suduiraut

In the shifting fog‑and‑sun rhythm of Sauternes & Barsac, Château Suduiraut has set a benchmark for sweet wine since the 16th century: the name appears in 1580, and in 1855 it was ranked Premier Cru Classé. After being ravaged during the Fronde and rebuilt in the 17th century, the estate became a lesson in patience and precision....

The grape variety: Sémillon

Sémillon is a classic white grape of Bordeaux and Sauternes, also famous in Australia's Hunter Valley. It offers citrus, wax, honey, texture and ageing potential.

It pairs with shellfish, roast chicken, creamy sauces, mushrooms, soft cheese, foie gras and fruit desserts. A refined white grape for dry and sweet wines. Sémillon
