Château Trotanoy is one of the most admired estates in Pomerol, set on a plateau of deep black clay with gravelly sections over iron‑rich subsoils. Old vines of merlot with a touch of cabernet franc deliver naturally low yields and great concentration. The bouquet offers black cherry, plum and blackberry wrapped in truffle, graphite, cocoa and delicate herbal notes. On the palate the wine is dense, silky and powerful, with firm yet perfectly ripe tannins and a cool, mineral lift. Its impressive depth and very long finish make it both a contemplative solo wine and a superb partner for lamb, beef and ambitious gastronomic cuisine.

Ageing in French oak with a high proportion of new wood underlines density, complexity and the powerful Pomerol structure.
