Its 18 hectares of vines are planted on deep gravel with a clay-limestone subsoil and are dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, complemented by Cabernet Franc and a touch of Petit Verdot. The grapes are hand-harvested, vinified plot by plot and matured in oak barrels. The bouquet offers cassis, blackberry and plum with cedar, tobacco and spicy undertones. On the palate Cos Labory combines the firm structure typical of Saint-Estèphe with real finesse, showing ripe tannins, vibrant acidity and a long, slightly mineral finish. | |
