Der Vollmondwein Pinot Blanc from Weingut Christ in Vienna’s Jedlersdorf district comes from higher sites on the Bisamberg, where limestone and gravel soils lend tension and freshness. The hand-picked grapes undergo strict selection and an extended period on fine lees, building texture and depth. The bouquet combines ripe yellow pear and white apple with hints of mango, herbal spice and candied orange peel. On the palate the wine is medium-bodied, lively and precise, its gentle creaminess balanced by bright acidity and a stony, mineral finish. This interplay of elegance and regional character makes the full-moon Pinot Blanc a versatile partner for Viennese classics, poultry, fish dishes and subtly spiced vegetable cuisine.
