Colle Massari Montecucco Rosso Riserva doc. 2020 0,75l

Montecucco Rosso Riserva from Colle Massari is an organically certified blend of sangiovese, ciliegiolo and cabernet sauvignon grown on elevated sites between the Maremma coast and Monte Amiata. Vines rooted in poor, stony soils yield naturally low crops that are harvested by hand. After fermentation the wine spends an extended period in oak, gaining depth and a velvety texture. The bouquet offers blackberry, blueberry and ripe cherry alongside Mediterranean herbs, liquorice, tobacco and dark chocolate. On the palate Montecucco Rosso Riserva is full-bodied, concentrated and harmonious, with ripe, well-knit tannins and refreshing acidity. Its long, spicy, earth-tinged finish makes it a superb choice for slow-cooked meats, rich pasta dishes, lamb and game.

The grape variety: Sangiovese

Sangiovese is Italy's leading red grape, famous in Tuscany. It brings cherry fruit, herbs, savoury spice, lively acidity and firm structure to many classic Italian wines.

It pairs beautifully with tomato pasta, pizza, grilled meat, roast pork, mushrooms and pecorino. A versatile choice for lovers of elegant, food-friendly reds. Sangiovese
