| Crociani Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is sourced from vineyards in the esteemed Le Caggiole area at the heart of the denomination. Prugnolo Gentile, mammolo and canaiolo grow on clay-limestone soils that give the wine both structure and finesse. Fermentation in steel is followed by traditional ageing in large oak botti in Crociani’s historic cellars. The bouquet delivers cherry, red berries and violets with a hint of citrus peel, balsamic nuances and gentle toast. On the palate the wine is supple, well structured and harmonious, with ripe tannins and fresh acidity. A persistent finish with spicy red fruit makes it an excellent match for game, roasts, grilled meats and mature pecorino. | |
