Real de Asúa by CVNE is a distinctive Rioja crafted from grapes grown on the high-altitude Carromaza vineyard in Villalba, Rioja Alta. The site enjoys a cool Atlantic influence, sandy soils and protection from the Sierra de Cantabria. Old-vine tempranillo is carefully selected and aged in top-quality French oak. The bouquet layers blueberry, redcurrant and cassis with liquorice, clove, smoky notes and toffee. On the palate Real de Asúa is powerful yet silky, with firm structure, ripe tannins and vibrant acidity. A very long, complex finish marks it out as a superb Rioja for lamb, slow-cooked meats, fine beef cuts and modern gastronomy.

Eighteen months in new French oak give this Rioja depth, structure and an elegant oak frame.
