El Coto Rioja Blanco Verdejo showcases the expressive Verdejo grape in a Rioja context. Grapes from cooler sites are gently handled and fermented at low temperatures to retain maximum freshness. The bouquet is packed with grapefruit, lime and green apple, alongside hints of tropical fruit, fennel and white flowers. On the palate the wine is dry, zesty and straight-forward, with juicy fruit, crisp acidity and a lightly herbal finish. A modern, refreshing white that works perfectly with fish, shellfish, vegetable dishes and informal sharing plates. When well chilled, it shows its most vibrant, aromatic side.
Cool fermentation with brief lees ageing preserves freshness and aromatics. Fine lees add a touch of smoothness to the Verdejo.
