La Montesa from Palacios Remondo is a certified organic Garnacha-based Rioja sourced from hillside vineyards on the Sierra de Yerga. The bouquet offers ripe cherries, raspberries and pomegranate framed by notes of blood orange, Mediterranean herbs and violets. On the palate the wine is juicy and refined, with silky tannins, vibrant yet well-integrated acidity and a finely etched, chalky backbone. Gentle hints of spice, smoke and subtle oak add depth without masking the pure red-fruit character. The texture is smooth and flowing, leading into a long, uplifting finish. A contemporary Rioja that shines with grilled lamb, paella, tapas or richly seasoned vegetable dishes.
Twelve months in French oak round out the Garnacha fruit and bring fine spice as well as harmonious structure.
