Coto de Imaz Reserva from El Coto is a textbook Rioja Reserva crafted mainly from Tempranillo grown on limestone soils in Rioja Alta. After extended ageing in American oak and bottle, it shows an intense cherry-red colour with maroon hues. The bouquet offers ripe red fruits, cherries and plums framed by vanilla, cinnamon, coconut and a touch of tobacco. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied yet balanced, with smooth tannins, fresh acidity and a creamy texture. Spicy, red-fruit notes linger on the finish, making this Reserva a versatile partner for grilled meats, roast dishes, tapas and hearty pasta.

Eighteen months in 225-litre American oak barriques followed by bottle ageing give the Rioja spicy depth and a velvety structure.
