El Coto de Imaz Crianza Selección Viñedos is a fruit-driven Rioja made from selected Tempranillo vineyards. Following fermentation, it is aged in American oak, which lends the wine its subtle vanilla and spice character. The nose shows red and black berries, cherry, raspberry and a hint of coconut and toast. On the palate, this Crianza is juicy and medium-bodied, with soft tannins, fresh acidity and a smooth, gently spicy finish. A very versatile Rioja to enjoy with tapas, grilled meats or everyday pasta dishes. Its easy-going style makes it an ideal introduction to the house’s reds.
Twelve months in American and French oak barriques layer selected fruit with toast, vanilla and rounded structure.
