Reserva Especial from Palacios Remondo represents a classic yet finely tuned style of Rioja. The bouquet opens with dried cherry and plum, followed by fig, tobacco, liquorice and roasted coffee and cocoa notes. On the palate the wine is full-bodied and compact, with ripe, well-knit tannins and a warming but balanced acidity. Layers of cedar, vanilla, leather and balsamic herbs add complexity and depth. The texture is silky and concentrated, carrying flavours of dried fruit and subtle oak far into the finish. A sophisticated Rioja reserva to pair with braised beef, lamb, game dishes or mature hard cheeses.

Eighteen months of oak-barrel ageing shape the Reserva with spice, fullness and mature structure.
