Domaine Billaud Simon Chablis Tête d'Or 2024 0,75l

Chablis Tête d’Or from Domaine Billaud-Simon is a special cuvée drawn from the estate’s best-positioned parcels around Chablis, showcasing the domaine’s signature finesse. Chardonnay vines rooted in classic Kimmeridgian limestone are entirely harvested by hand. The bouquet is intense and pure, with citrus, white peach and ripe apple complemented by hints of quince, blossom and gentle spice. On the palate Tête d’Or is smooth and supple yet taut, offering ripe fruit, subtle creaminess and precise acidity. Minerality is clearly present but never dominates the wine’s harmonious, generous profile. A long, balanced finish makes this Chablis a versatile choice for elegant starters, fish, sushi, poultry and contemporary cuisine.

Fermentation in stainless steel and a subtle share of older oak add substance without masking the mineral freshness of Chablis.

The grape variety: Chardonnay

Chardonnay is a globally renowned white grape from Burgundy, capable of crisp, mineral, creamy or oak-aged styles. Its flavours range from citrus and apple to peach, butter, nuts and toast.

It pairs with seafood, chicken, creamy pasta, mushrooms, lobster and soft cheeses. Chardonnay is exciting because it can be beautifully simple or profoundly complex. Chardonnay
