This Sauvignon Blanc from Weingut Elsnegg originates from the steep Urlkogel vineyard in southern Styria and captures the cool hillside character with great precision. The bouquet opens with exotic yellow fruit such as lychee, mango and ripe gooseberry, lifted by hints of orange zest and blossom honey. On the palate it is juicy and tightly knit, with a fine, spicy acidity that gives structure and drive. The mineral soils of sand, sandstone and gravel lend a subtle, almost salty impression on the long, elegant finish.
