| Château Cantenac Brown is a 3rd Growth Margaux estate, instantly recognisable by its Tudor-style château. Around 60 hectares of vines lie on deep gravel in the heart of the appellation, planted mainly with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot plus a little Petit Verdot. Grapes are harvested by hand, fermented in temperature-controlled vats and the wine is aged in French oak barrels. The bouquet offers blackberry, cassis and cherry with notes of violet, cocoa, cedar and fine toast. On the palate Château Cantenac Brown is concentrated, silky and powerful, with ripe tannins, fresh acidity and a long, layered finish – an opulent yet precise Margaux. | |
