For Connoisseurs: Faiveley Mercurey 1er Clos des Myglands from Bourgogne 1er Cru
Mercurey Premier Cru Clos des Myglands from Domaine Faiveley comes from an exclusive monopole vineyard on the north‑eastern side of the appellation. The bouquet reveals black and red berries, dark cherry and a hint of orange zest, lifted by spice and a subtle smoky touch. On the palate this Pinot Noir is powerful and dense yet silky in texture, with juicy fruit, bright acidity and a slightly earthy, mineral streak. Ripe, well‑framed tannins give structure and allow the wine to age gracefully. A long, spicy, fruit‑driven finish makes it a perfect partner for beef, lamb, game birds or flavourful mushroom dishes.
