Glenfarclas Heritage is an approachable Speyside single malt, originally created for continental European markets. It matures mainly in American oak with a portion of sherry casks and is bottled at 40% ABV. The nose shows mint leaf, polished oak, malty vanilla, cereal notes and a pinch of cinnamon. On the palate it is light, fruity and well balanced, with flavours of apple pie filling, buttered bread, green melon and butterscotch. The texture is smooth and easy-going, leading to a medium-length finish with gentle nuttiness and soft sweetness. A relaxed everyday dram and perfect introduction to the Glenfarclas house style.
