Gusbourne Guinevere Chardonnay 2021 0,75l

Gusbourne Guinevere Chardonnay is an elegant, Burgundy‑inspired still wine from chalk and clay vineyards in Kent. A proportion of the juice is fermented and aged in French oak barrels, adding structure and subtle toast. The bouquet combines citrus, candied lime, ripe stone fruit, vanilla, hazelnut and a gentle smoky note. On the palate it is concentrated and creamy yet taut and mineral, with layers of yellow stone fruit, buttery spice and bright acidity. The finish is long, saline and refreshing. A complex English Chardonnay that pairs beautifully with roasted fish, free‑range chicken or rich pasta dishes in cream sauces.

The grape variety: Chardonnay

Chardonnay is a globally renowned white grape from Burgundy, capable of crisp, mineral, creamy or oak-aged styles. Its flavours range from citrus and apple to peach, butter, nuts and toast.

It pairs with seafood, chicken, creamy pasta, mushrooms, lobster and soft cheeses. Chardonnay is exciting because it can be beautifully simple or profoundly complex. Chardonnay
