Gusbourne Rosé is a finely crafted traditional‑method English sparkling wine made from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier. Fruit from sunny yet cool sites in Kent and West Sussex spends at least two years ageing on lees before release. Delicate salmon‑pink in colour, it shows a refined, persistent mousse. The bouquet offers bright strawberries, raspberries and redcurrants alongside red apple, white peach and gentle floral notes. On the palate the wine is fresh and vibrant yet creamy in texture, with juicy red‑berry fruit, hints of nectarine and mandarin and a touch of brioche. A versatile rosé for aperitif, summer salads, grilled fish or berry‑based desserts.
Thirty-six months on the lees highlight the red fruit and give the magnum format added poise and creaminess.
Between Romney Marsh and the Channel, Gusbourne in England has shaped a modern classic. After the first vines were planted in 2004 at Appledore, Kent, the estate chose a strict rule: every bottle comes from its own vineyards, rooted in Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier for traditional‑method sparkling wine....

The grape variety: Chardonnay
Chardonnay is a globally renowned white grape from Burgundy, capable of crisp, mineral, creamy or oak-aged styles. Its flavours range from citrus and apple to peach, butter, nuts and toast.
It pairs with seafood, chicken, creamy pasta, mushrooms, lobster and soft cheeses. Chardonnay is exciting because it can be beautifully simple or profoundly complex.
