Huguenot Fixin rouge Cuvee Terre Brune 2023 0,75l
Terre Brune draws on several Pinot Noir parcels in the northern part of Fixin, on Burgundy's Côte de Nuits. Vines averaging around 55 years grow in a mixture of clay, silt, sand and gravel. Hand harvesting and careful selection lay the foundation for this richly textured red. Ageing in oak barrels followed by stainless steel allows its fruit and structure to settle into balance. The nose offers an expressive scent of fresh cherries and small red berries. Across the palate, generous flesh and concentration are shaped by silky, well-knit tannins. Its appetising finish makes an excellent match for braised pork, rib steak, poultry stew or mature Comté.
