Huguenot
On the northern Côte de Nuits in Burgundy, Domaine Huguenot carries a winegrowing heritage rooted in Marsannay-la-Côte since around 1800. Across generations the family assembled parcels in Marsannay, Fixin and Gevrey-Chambertin, today spanning about 23 hectares. The purchase of a plot in Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru in 1967 marked a defining chapter. Now guided by Valérie and Philippe Huguenot, the estate views each climat as an individual expression of its Burgundian origins.Limestone and clay-rich slopes shape the estate's Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. All grapes are harvested by hand and carefully sorted. For the reds, cool maceration and fermentation with indigenous yeasts precede gentle extraction and maturation in traditional oak barrels. Organic certification was regained with the 2019 harvest, while temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats modernised the winery in 2020. Heritage and precision let each vineyard speak, from village wines to Grand Cru.
