Huguenot Charmes Chambertin gc. 2023 0,75l

From the Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru vineyard in Gevrey-Chambertin comes a Pinot Noir shaped by limestone and old vines. The estate's vines are around 60 years old, rooted in brown earth and stony slope deposits. Grapes are picked by hand before the wine matures in oak barrels and then stainless steel tanks. Red and dark fruit aromas meet a delicate hint of spice. The palate is generous yet finely detailed, its velvety tannins giving the fruit a graceful frame. An elegant, lingering finish lends this Burgundy a quietly impressive presence. Serve alongside braised lamb, beef Bourguignon or mature Époisses for a richly rewarding pairing.

The purchase of a plot in Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru in 1967 marked a defining chapter. Now guided by Valérie and Philippe Huguenot, the estate views each climat as an individual expression of its Burgundian origins....
