Jacques Selosse Champagne Blanc de Blancs Initial 0,75l

This Blanc de Blancs captures the distinctly vinous personality that defines Jacques Selosse. Grand Cru Chardonnay from Avize, Cramant and Oger, chiefly from lower-slope sites, forms the core of the cuvée. Three successive harvests are blended, followed by lengthy bottle ageing that unites depth with a fine, persistent mousse. Ripe peach, citrus peel, blossom honey, hazelnut and a hint of nougat shape the aromatic profile. The palate is creamy yet energetic, with chalky, saline minerality providing focus. Its layered, enduring finish makes it a compelling Champagne for the table. Serve it with shellfish, roasted fish or delicate poultry, and choose it at Vinofant for a memorable celebration or refined dinner.

Jacques Selosse

In Avize on the Côte des Blancs, Jacques Selosse has reshaped the idea of grower Champagne. The family produced its first wine under its own name in 1964, while Anselme Selosse developed the estate from the 1970s through a Burgundian focus on soil, parcel and base wine. The domaine now covers 8.3 hectares in 54 plots, largely Grand Cru, across Avize, Cramant, Oger, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Aÿ, Mareuil-sur-Aÿ and Ambonnay....

The grape variety: Chardonnay

Chardonnay is a globally renowned white grape from Burgundy, capable of crisp, mineral, creamy or oak-aged styles. Its flavours range from citrus and apple to peach, butter, nuts and toast.

It pairs with seafood, chicken, creamy pasta, mushrooms, lobster and soft cheeses. Chardonnay is exciting because it can be beautifully simple or profoundly complex. Chardonnay
