Madeira Colheita Sweet by Justino s comes from the Atlantic island of Madeira and embodies a rich, mature interpretation of this classic style. The bouquet reveals raisins, dates, candied orange, toffee and roasted nuts. On the palate the wine is velvety, dense and layered, with generous sweetness lifted by vibrant acidity. Flavours of caramel, coffee and dark chocolate add further depth. Gentle oxidative notes bring a warm, slightly salty edge. The finish is very long, silky and aromatic. A characterful Madeira to pour with chocolate desserts, strong cheeses or slow evening moments on the sofa.
As a Colheita, the 1999 vintage matured for at least five years in oak barrels, showing sweet, mature Madeira complexity.
