Perwolff is the legendary flagship red of Weingut Krutzler, sourced from old vines in the finest sites around Eisenberg and Deutsch-Schützen. The vines root deep in poor schist soils that deliver cool spice and pronounced minerality. The nose shows dark berries, black cherry, liquorice, tobacco and subtle toasted notes. On the palate Perwolff is powerful, dense and multi-layered, with firm, ripe tannins and impressive length. Despite its concentration the style remains precise, elegant and never heavy. A great partner for game, robust beef dishes or truffle cuisine and a wine with remarkable ageing potential.

Long ageing in barriques and 500-litre barrels shapes a powerful Blaufränkisch with dark spice and dense structure.
