Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Bousselots from La Commaraine comes from slightly sandy clay-limestone soils on the northern edge of the village. This Pinot Noir shows a ruby colour and a delicate bouquet of raspberry, cherry and gentle spice. The palate combines juicy fruit with velvety tannins and elegant wood. Structure remains firm but never rustic, instead feeling charming and well balanced. A long finish echoes red berries, fine herbs and discreet minerality. Pair with roast lamb, veal or classic Burgundian stews.
Twelve to fifteen months in barrel emphasize depth, fine oak spice and the silky structure of Pinot Noir.
