| Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Les Murgers des Dents de Chien by La Commaraine is a tense, mineral Chardonnay overlooking Puligny-Montrachet. Stony, chalky soils give the wine remarkable precision and salty freshness. The nose combines yellow stone fruit, citrus zest, white flowers and a hint of smoke from barrel ageing. On the palate it is creamy yet straight, with vibrant acidity and a finely chiselled structure. Oak remains discreet, framing the ripe fruit without dominating it. An expressive white Burgundy that shines with fine fish, scallops, poultry in cream sauces or elegant vegetable dishes. Give it a little air in the glass to reveal its full aromatic spectrum. | |
