| Laibach Friedrich The Founder’s Blend is the estate’s reserve cuvée, created in honour of founder Friedrich Laibach. Merlot and Cabernet grapes from selected Simonsberg vineyards are carefully hand-picked and aged in small oak barrels. The bouquet shows blackcurrant, plum, graphite, cedar and sweet spice. On the palate the wine is concentrated and structured yet silky, with dense, ripe tannins and impressive depth. Fresh, well-integrated acidity carries the flavours through a long finish. Dark fruit, tobacco and a refined mineral note linger, marking this as a powerful, ageworthy Stellenbosch classic. | |
