| Lombardo Marsala Fine I.P. Ambra Semisecco is a classic fortified wine from Sicily, made from the local white grapes Grillo, Catarratto and Inzolia. After at least one year of ageing in oak casks it shows a deep amber colour with golden highlights. The bouquet offers dried fruits, caramel, candied orange peel and toasted nuts. On the palate the Marsala is semi-dry, velvety and harmonious, with gentle sweetness, well-integrated acidity and a spicy, nutty finish. It is excellent as a dessert wine with pastries, almond cakes or blue cheeses. Cooks also value it for enriching sauces, ragouts and traditional Italian desserts. | |
