Grappa Dedicata al Padre is Marolo’s tribute to the roots of the distillery and to the traditional grappas of the Roero hills. It is made from carefully selected pomace of various red grape varieties that is distilled soon after pressing and then matured in barriques. Despite its powerful structure, the grappa shows a remarkably smooth texture with intense aromas of dark chocolate, dried fruit, coffee and spicy oak. On the palate warmth, richness and a fine bittersweet note combine to create a complex, dry style with great length. The elevated alcohol is perfectly integrated and supports the depth of flavour without becoming aggressive. A characterful after-dinner spirit for lovers of expressive grappas, especially good with dark chocolate, espresso or a full-bodied cigar.
