Mauzac
Mauzac is an old white grape variety from southern France, closely linked to Gaillac and Limoux. Typical aromas include green apple and pear, while sweeter expressions can also show honey and gentle sweet spices.
The variety buds and ripens late and can produce dry, sweet and sparkling wines. It is best known as the defining grape of Blanquette de Limoux and the Méthode Ancestrale of Limoux.
