Barolo Cerequio by Michele Chiarlo comes from an iconic hillside between La Morra and Barolo, where limestone marls give Nebbiolo both structure and perfume. The bouquet is complex, with ripe red fruits, cherry and plum interwoven with mint, eucalyptus, herbs and fine spice. On the palate the wine is structured yet remarkably graceful, built on firm, perfectly crafted tannins that feel almost weightless. Flavours of fruit, earth and savoury herbs form a harmonious whole. Bright acidity adds tension and carries a long, layered finish with mineral and balsamic notes. This profound Barolo will reward extended cellaring.
At least two years in medium-sized oak casks give Cerequio spice, depth and a harmonious, elegant structure.
