Rovereto Gavi di Gavi from Michele Chiarlo comes from one of the finest sub-zones of the appellation and is made from Cortese. In the glass it shows a pale straw colour with green hues. The bouquet is intense and refined, with notes of white flowers, golden apple, citrus and wet stone. On the palate the wine is fresh, well structured and beautifully balanced. Juicy fruit is carried by vibrant acidity, giving length and a mouth-watering finish. Subtle savoury and mineral tones linger on the palate. An elegant Gavi that pairs perfectly with seafood, simple fish dishes, salads and grilled vegetables.
Five months on fine lees in stainless steel preserve clear Cortese fruit and give the Gavi a fine mineral tension.
