Nehrer Cabernet Sauvignon comes from stony Leithaberg sites and presents the variety in a powerful but precisely crafted style. The colour is an inky ruby, while the nose offers dense aromas of cassis, dried blueberries and dark chocolate, backed by tobacco, graphite and fine oak. On the palate the wine is full, compact and firmly structured, with tightly knit tannins and a touch of natural sweetness from ripe extract. Fresh acidity keeps everything in balance and adds lift. The long finish recalls cherry, mineral notes and subtle spice. A distinctive red to serve with grilled beef, game or richly seasoned stews.
