Pierre Girardin Les Tillets Meursault blanc 2020 0,75l

Les Tillets sits high above Meursault's Premier Cru vineyards and yields a notably focused expression of Chardonnay. The vines are more than 40 years old, planted around 350 metres above sea level and farmed with organic practices. Indigenous fermentation is followed by ageing in large-format barrels with restrained new oak, then stainless steel. Citrus zest, white peach, pear, blossom and delicate almond notes shape the nose. The palate combines silky texture, bright acidity and a chalky, saline mineral line. Its long, precise finish feels cool and sculpted rather than broad or heavy. Pair it with lobster, scallops, roasted fish or poultry in a light cream sauce, and order at Vinofant for an elegant Burgundy dinner.

Pierre Girardin

In Meursault, Burgundy, Pierre Girardin brings thirteen generations of family experience into a distinctly modern domaine. When his father Vincent sold the former estate in 2011, the family retained 4.5 hectares of prized parcels for Pierre-Vincent, who bottled his first vintage in 2017. Long-term agreements with meticulous growers now extend the range across celebrated climats of the Côte de Beaune and other Burgundian sites....

The grape variety: Chardonnay

Chardonnay is a globally renowned white grape from Burgundy, capable of crisp, mineral, creamy or oak-aged styles. Its flavours range from citrus and apple to peach, butter, nuts and toast.

It pairs with seafood, chicken, creamy pasta, mushrooms, lobster and soft cheeses. Chardonnay is exciting because it can be beautifully simple or profoundly complex. Chardonnay
