Plantation Barbados Extra Old 20th Anniversary is a lavish Barbados rum that undergoes a double ageing, first in ex‑bourbon casks in the tropics and then in Ferrand cognac barrels in France. The bouquet bursts with coconut, vanilla, ripe banana and sugarcane, backed by toffee, caramel and toasted coconut. On the palate it is velvety and rich, showing layers of milk chocolate, coconut, candied pineapple and dried fruit. Gentle baking spice and a touch of tobacco add depth without overwhelming the sweetness.
