| Plantation Xaymaca Special Dry is a traditionally styled Jamaican pot still rum sourced from Clarendon and Long Pond and bottled deliberately dry. The nose is complex, with light smoke, ripe banana, bitter orange peel and roasted pineapple, alongside herbs, vanilla and pastry-like notes. On the palate the rum is dry, spicy and firmly flavoured, showing rosewater, soursop, pear, white grape and sugar apple, followed by coconut milk, allspice, bread and nuts. The long, structured finish carries classic Jamaican funk without excessive sweetness, making Xaymaca excellent for sipping or for characterful cocktails. | |
