Prieur Echézeaux gc. 2023 0,75l

This Echezeaux Grand Cru from Prieur is a benchmark expression of Pinot Noir from the Côte de Nuits. Vines rooted in chalky, well-drained soils give a refined balance of power and finesse. The bouquet opens with aromas of wild berries, blackcurrant and blackberry, wrapped in hints of licorice, cocoa and black pepper. On the palate the wine is dense yet silky, with ripe, fine-grained tannins and precise structure. Lively acidity keeps everything fresh and vibrant. The long finish echoes dark fruit, spice and a touch of minerality. This Grand Cru is a superb partner for braised beef, lamb or delicate game birds.

Prieur

In Burgundy’s Grand Cru heartland, Prieur is shorthand for a rare mosaic: as Domaine Jacques Prieur in Meursault, the estate has, since 1868, assembled parcels across both the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits—from Montrachet to Chambertin and Musigny....

The grape variety: Pinot Noir

Pinot Noir is a refined red grape known for red cherry, raspberry, floral notes, spice and silky tannins. It is most famous in Burgundy but thrives in many cool-climate regions.

It pairs beautifully with duck, roast chicken, mushrooms, salmon, pork and game birds. Its fascination lies in finesse, fragrance and the way it expresses origin. Pinot Noir
