Grüner Veltliner Freiheit from Weingut Proidl is a crisp, focused interpretation of Kremstal terroir. Vines grow on terraced slopes around Senftenberg, rooted in gneiss and loess soils. The bouquet offers green and yellow apple, citrus and a hint of pear, lifted by delicate herbal notes and the variety’s typical white pepper spice. On the palate the wine is dry, linear and juicy, driven by refreshing acidity. The texture is slender yet well structured and full of clarity. The finish is lively, with fruit and spice echoing in harmony. A highly versatile partner for light starters, classic Viennese dishes, vegetable cuisine or fish.
Fermentation in stainless steel and brief fine lees ageing preserve the light-footed, spicy character of Grüner Veltliner.
