Riesling Ried Ehrenfels 1. Lage from Weingut Proidl is one of the flagship mineral-driven Rieslings of the Kremstal. Steep terraces with gneiss and slate soils yield small, perfectly ripe berries. The bouquet offers cool stone fruit, ripe apricot and citrus, wrapped in a fine smoky minerality. On the palate the wine is dry, compact and highly focused, with a dense core and impressive tension. Vibrant acidity provides drive and remarkable freshness. The long finish recalls apricot, citrus zest and wet stone. A superb match for aromatic cuisine, fine fish, Asian-inspired dishes or mature goat’s cheese.

Ageing in stainless steel and large oak cask promotes complexity and a distinctive, mineral Riesling structure.
