Schieferkopf Riesling Lieu dit Buehl comes from a warm single vineyard in the Rhine basin whose sandy, gravelly soils yield ripe, concentrated Riesling. The organically farmed vines are hand-harvested and the wine is raised in large traditional casks. The bouquet shows citrus fruit, ripe peach and floral tones with a hint of herbal spice. On the palate it is full-bodied, juicy and powerful yet finely etched. Lively acidity and pronounced salinity provide tension and impressive length. The persistent, mineral finish makes this a characterful partner for Asian-inspired cuisine, white meats and well-aged cheeses.

Ageing for 15 months in large foudres supports the powerful structure and salty mineral depth of the Riesling.
