Strablegg-Leitner Grauburgunder Kaiseregg comes from one of the prime sites of southern Styria and showcases the powerful, multilayered side of Pinot Gris. Vines rooted in slate and gneiss in the single vineyard Ried Kaiseregg yield particularly extract-rich grapes. In the glass the wine displays a bronzed hue with subtle highlights. The bouquet opens with dried fruit, chestnut honey and hints of brioche, nuts and ripe exotic fruit. On the palate this Grauburgunder is full-bodied, dense and creamy, supported by elegant acidity and a fine touch of oak from maturation in large barrels. Despite its richness it remains precise and nuanced, finishing long and gently spicy. A gastronomic white wine that pairs beautifully with white meats, grilled dishes, mushrooms or matured cheeses.

Twelve months in large oak casks give this powerful Pinot Gris texture, depth and complex fruit structure.
