Opera Mia is a powerful Aglianico from Tenuta Cavalier Pepe, sourced from selected vineyards around Taurasi and the hills of Irpinia. The vines grow on limestone and volcanic soils at mid altitude, giving the wine tension, depth and pronounced minerality. The bouquet combines black cherry, blackberry and wild herbs with notes of milk chocolate, malt, incense and fine oak. On the palate Opera Mia is dense yet finely textured, showing creamy cherry fruit and firm, ripe tannins. Lively acidity and a faint salty touch provide freshness and precise definition. The long, layered finish makes this Aglianico a perfect match for braised meats, game dishes and mature cheeses.
