Nestor is the Greco di Tufo DOCG from Tenuta Cavalier Pepe, sourced from high altitude vineyards in the hills of Irpinia. The Greco variety thrives on volcanic tuff and limestone soils, which give the wine its vibrant acidity and marked minerality. On the nose it offers ripe citrus, yellow stone fruit, white flowers and a subtle flinty note. On the palate Nestor is concentrated and juicy, with lively acidity, a saline edge and fine herbal nuances. The texture is firm yet elegant, leading into a long, mineral driven finish. It is an ideal partner for seafood, shellfish, vegetable soups, white meats and moderately aged cheeses.
