On the nose it reveals clear notes of black cherry, blackberry and sour cherry, backed by violet florals and gentle herbal spice. On the palate the wine is juicy and cool in style, with dark berry fruit, a touch of pepper and a stony, mineral core. Fine grained tannins are well integrated, while fresh acidity gives tension and length. The overall impression is dense but never heavy, balancing fruit, spice and the grip of limestone soils.
