Tinhof Neuburger Leithaberg DAC 2024 0,75l

Neuburger Leithaberg DAC from Weingut Tinhof shows this traditional variety in an elegant, mineral driven style. Grown on limestone and slate around Eisenstadt, the wine combines ripe fruit with a cool, precise structure. On the nose there are notes of ripe pear, white apple, blossom, broom and candied orange zest. On the palate the Neuburger is juicy and compact, with good freshness, salty minerality and well defined acidity. Gentle maturation adds a fine creaminess and depth without masking the linear character. A highly versatile food wine that pairs well with fish, poultry, vegetable cuisine and regional dishes from Leithaberg.

Ageing in a large wooden cask gives the wine calm, structure and a clear, spicy expression.

Tinhof

On the slopes of the Leithagebirge, in Eisenstadt on Leithaberg, Erwin Tinhof continues a family line of eleven generations with one guiding principle: origin first. Native grapes—Neuburger, Weissburgunder, Blaufränkisch and St. Laurent—are treated as the clearest translators of place....

The grape variety: Neuburger

Neuburger is a traditional Austrian white grape that produces rounded, often full-bodied wines with apple, pear, spice and nutty notes.

It pairs well with roast poultry, veal, mushrooms, creamy pasta, freshwater fish and mild cheeses.
